Care & Gain

Care & Gain contains high quality protein sources to support muscle maintenance in older horses and ponies, including vitamins C and E to support the body’s immune system, antioxidant capacity and muscle function. Calories are provided from easily digestible fibre and oil sources, allowing controlled weight gain whilst supporting normal metabolic function. 

Care & Gain is highly palatable containing mint, fenugreek, seaweed, dandelion and nettle to tempt even the fussiest of feeders-in fact during our trial 100% of participants licked their bowls clean! A probiotic, prebiotic and postbiotic are included to aid the fibre fermentation process and support a healthy digestive system.

It is a balanced feed that, when fed at recommended amounts according to body weight and workload, will provide the horse with a fully balanced diet inclusive of essential vitamins and minerals.

Please note, all feed amounts are in dry weight, per day. Do not feed more than 2kg (1 ^1/3 Stubbs Scoops) dry weight per meal. 

DO NOT FEED DRY – THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS UNMOLASSED SUGAR BEET AND MUST BE SOAKED FOR 3 MINUTES BEFORE FEEDING. CHECK ALL PELLETS HAVE DISSOLVED BEFORE FEEDING.

• Introduce a new feed gradually over 7 to 10 days, building up to the amounts needed to maintain condition and energy levels.
• Place feed in a shallow bucket, add three times as much water as feed, then stir. Wait 3 minutes before feeding this product.
• Suitable for horses and ponies prone to laminitis.
• Do not feed to sheep.
